FOCUS Innovation Award: EVOCAL Health among the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Germany

EVOCAL Health shortlisted as one of the Top 10 most innovative companies in Germany in the FOCUS Innovationspreis 2021




Hamburg (Germany), October 25, 2021: EVOCAL Health, a biopharmaceutical digital health company unlocking the human voice as a biomarker for AI-based detection and treatment of diseases (so-called vocal biomarkers), today announced to be selected as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Germany by the German news magazine Focus (Link to FOCUS Innovation Award).


After launching the Innovation Award in 2020, Focus has honored outstanding and forward-looking companies and founders for the second time this year. Robert Schneider, Focus editor-in-chief explains: “In these dynamic times, we believe it’s particularly important to highlight creative and innovative potential in our own country. Germany is a country of inventors, as demonstrated by this year’s Innovation Award, which received hundreds of revolutionary submissions that have what it takes to make long-lasting, positive changes to our society.”


All the 10 top nominees were selected due to their creative and innovative potential to add positive and sustainable value to society, were portrayed exclusively in FOCUS magazine and came together to the "Champion Dinner" in Munich, which has been opened by Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmeyer. “EVOCAL Health feels very honored to be among this group of companies focusing on digitalization, sustainability, and health thriving to bring a positive and lasting change to our society. By unlocking the human voice as a biomarker, we aim to transform healthcare and reinvent patient care. Vocal biomarkers will especially help us in the future to detect and treat diseases faster, and in a more cost-effective way”, explains EVOCAL Health Co-Founder & CEO Dirk Simon.


The jury for the Focus Innovation Award 2021 was made up of Thomas Jarzombek (Federal Government Coordinator of German Aerospace Policy, Commissioner for the Digital Industry and Start-ups at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy), Professor Monika Schnitzler (Council of Economic Experts), Matthias Mey, (CEO at Mey), Martin Weiss (Hubert Burda Media board member and designated chairperson), Laure Berment (Country Manager Germany at TooGoodToGo and winner of last year's award), Kerstin Schiefelbein (CEO of Cobranded Studio), Helmut Schönenberger (CEO of UnternehmerTUM) and Robert Schneider (editor-in-chief at FOCUS).
